A dish needs a service plan, and it is never free

A kit is hardware. Somebody has to be paying for the service the week you use it. Every satellite listing here has to answer which it is before it can be published: the owner keeps his own plan live for your dates and it is charged once on your booking, or you bring your own account. It is never cash at the handover.

Power it properly

A standard dish draws roughly 50 to 75 watts steady, more while it melts snow or aims. On a camp with no mains that is a battery station and a panel, not a phone brick — both are in the pool and can go on the same booking.

Aim it at open sky

Obstructions are what break a link, not distance. A clear view north-ish, above shade structures and away from a container wall, is worth more than any setting.

Can I rent Starlink for a festival?

Yes, when a member near you has a kit free that week. Open the page, pick your dates and send a request; the desk confirms the kit, the plan and the price in writing before anything is charged.

Does the rental include the internet service?

It includes whichever the owner has set: his own plan kept live for your dates, charged once on the booking, or hardware only with you bringing an active account. The listing says which, and so does the request page.

How much does it cost to rent a Starlink dish?

The day rate is the owner’s, shown on each listing, with the service plan as its own line where the owner supplies it. Nothing is added after the booking is confirmed.

What do I need to run it off-grid?

A battery power station sized for roughly 50 to 75 watts of steady draw, and solar if you are out for more than a night. Both can be added to the same booking.
