Zero waste, because nothing new gets built
The greenest piece of gear at a festival is the one that already exists. Every unit in this pool is working gear that somebody owns and uses only a few weekends a year, kept to a condition standard the desk checks before it is listed and again every time it changes hands. Renting it out is not a smaller purchase — it is no purchase at all.
What we bulk out
Everything below goes out by the dozen. Tick the quantities you need and the desk comes back with a real quote: what the pool holds today, what comes from the member network, and anything that has to come in from a named supplier — said plainly, line by line, so you always know what you are actually getting.
What you always buy yourself
Said here rather than found out at 2am on build day.
- Hexayurt tape — Never reusable. Every build needs fresh tape, every year, and the pool does not rent it or sell it yet. Budget 2 to 4 rolls of 3 in foil or hexayurt tape per yurt, plus strapping tape for the corners.
- Fuel and propane — Brought back as it went out, or charged at cost plus the refuel handling charge. Never paid in cash to anyone.
- Gaff tape, zip ties, batteries — Consumed on site. The pool supplies rechargeables wherever a disposable would otherwise be bought.
- Ice — Bought locally. The pool rents the cold chain that means less of it.
Official gear sponsor
Instead of an invoice for the whole load-in, we supply an agreed part of your production's gear against sponsor billing and on-site presence, and quote the rest at a fixed event rate. Your vendors and crew get the same rate, which usually solves somebody's last-minute generator problem for you. It comes with a zero-waste count you can publish: how much gear came to your event without anything being manufactured for it.
Own gear that sits still most of the year?
Vendors, crews and production companies list their own kit in the pool between events, free, with no ceiling on what they can put up. It stays in your yard until somebody books it.
